  of Thirsk, Yorkshire.; Crusader, 1189. lived most of his life in his father's shadow and so little is known about him. He took over his father's huge estates in England and Normandy and in 1189 attended the coronation of Richad I (Lionheart). In 1191 he set off for Palestine but died on the journey and was buried at sea.
