    • de Beaute-sur-Marne

Set up in the royal home, and taking part in all the ceremonies of an ostentatious court, this favourite lady loved luxury and took pleasure in receiving sumptuous gifts.
She had a particular fondness for precious stones, the most extravagant fabrics and lace. Throughout her lifetime she scandalized chaste women yet it must be said to her credit that she supported with all her power the faithful servants to the Crown and that she incited Charles to reconquer Normandy with the gold lent by Jacques Coeur. Before she died in her youth, << the beautiful lady>> showered blessings on the Collegiate Notre Dame Church in Loches and wanted to be remembered as a repentant sinner.
