  At the time of his birth, Maine was part of MA. He may be a descendant of Richard Warren of the "Mayflower". DAR Index vol 1 p. 30 lists his birth dates and marriage to Susanna Whipple and that he was a Captain from MA. National Archives records show his residence as MA, but no papers other than a statement: "His name appears on a list of applicants for invalid pension." Returned by the District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Submitted to the House of Representatives by the Secretary of War on July 18, 1795 and printed in the American State Papers, Class 9, page 162. Disability: Wounded by a musket ball in the upper part of the right arm. The physicians report that h is not essentially prevented from obtaining a livelihood by labor." The following are ideas about who his father might have been: Samuel Baker, b. 1701 (this would be the possible link to Richard Warren), Josuah Baker 1711 or Nathaniel Baker b. 1719. None of these have been confirmed and need further study. km
