      Noah was town clerk for a number of years and a proprietor's clerk and belonged
      to the order of Masons.

      !The will of Noah Carpenter was dated 1 Feb. 1756. He mentions his wife Tabithy
      sons Stephen, Noah, Simon and Elisha, grandsons John and Jonas, sons of Isaiah
      (Jonas is called and recorded as "Jonah"); daughters Priscilla Brown, Sarah
      Talbott, Mary Alverson, Margaret Richardson, and Anna Whitaker.

      !On 1 Nov. 1734, Noah Carpenter (Sr.) and Caleb Hall of Attleboro, in
      concideration of love, good will and affection which we have and do bear
      towards the church and congregation of the said Attleboro, called by the name
      of Presbyterians, have given granted, conveyed, etc., unto them, their heirs
      and assigns foever, that is to be understood for the special use, benefit and
      priviledge of that society forever, a certain tract of land containing about
      45 rods, where the new meetinghouse now stands, bounded by the said Carpenter
      and the said Hall's lands and by the county road, etc..
