May have arrived about 1637 along with cousin Thomas Millard who settled in Boston. He was raised in the same household as his cousin. He was among the proprietors of Rehoboth, Ma. in 1643 and received grants of land there in 1644 and 1645. In 1648 he was Surveyor of highways for Rehoboth. He married as his second wife a woman named Elizabeth about 1652 and had five children by her between 1653 and 1662. In 1657 he is listed as a taxpayer of Rehoboth along with John Millard Jr. and Robert Millard. Both Johns took the oath of fidelity in 1658. In 1670 he inherited the estate of his cousin Thomas of Boston. The land of this estate was surrendered to Samuel Shrimpton, the attorney for Alice Swift of England, the sister of Thomas Millard in exchange for the right to keep Thomas Millard's movables and 20 Pounds. In 1672 he was constable of Rehoboth. On 6/30/1684 he deeded to his son ROBERT MILLARD several acres of land in various lots and by 2/7/1689 was apparently dead as his name is absent among the list of proprietors of Rehoboth.
      No will found.
