      Twdwr-Mawr gave his name to the Twdwr (Tudor) family of Wales from which the name Henry Tudor, who established the Tudor line of English monarchs when he ascended the throne as King Henry VII after the Battle of Bosworth Field. (The dynasty also included King Henry VII and Queen Elizabeth I). One of Twdwr-Mawr's sons was Rhys." Died 994.
