His obituary in the 2-1-1933 Culver Citizen stated he died at his home after a short bout with pneumonia. He had been in poor health for a number of years. He was born in Monterey but spent most of his life in Maxinkuckee and later in Culver where he followed the trades of carpenter and painter. He was survived by his wife, a son Howard, and 3 daughters: Bernice, Dorothy, and Jeanette.
