- LeRoy moved to Ashland, Nebraska in the spring of 1883 with his parents. He wa s 13 yrs old at the time. He was married in the Methodist Church Parsonage at 8:00pm, by Rev. C.A. Calkins. Mary Etta Maharg and Morris Austin Maharg (siste r and brother of Mahala) were witnesses. LeRoy worked for Burlington Railroad for 24 years and retired in 1934. His funeral was held at Umburger Chapel in L incoln, Nebraska. Rev. Walter Nath officiated.
