    • Chevalier de l-Ordre de Saint-Michel. Named by the King
      of France, on Dec. 10, 1657, Governor and General/Lieutenant of Acadia "from Canso and the adjacent islands to New England, on the coast and 10 leagues inwards", for a period of nine years.

      On Dec. 17, 1667, the concession granted to Sieur Emmanuel LeBorgne is confirmed. The following year, on
      March 18m, 1668, he substitutes to the government of Acadia his son, Alexandre LeBorgne, Sieur de Belle-Isle.
