    • 1635: From Yorkshire, England to Boston, MA

      He came to New England in 1635, and was among the first settlers of Concord, Mass. He was a large landed proprietor. He married in England, Elizabeth Best, by whom he had five children. She died in Concord, Mass., on February 27, 1661, and in 1664, he married Mrs. Mercy (Hurd) Bingham.

      During the King Phillip's war he was a member of Captain William Turner's Troop. He spent his last years in Marlborough, Mass., where he died in October, 1676, leaving considerable property, including several estates to his sons.
