    • will dated 6/4/1685, probated 7/15/1687

      Will dated 6/4/1685 left house, half of barn and homelot, some meadowland and pasture, plus six acres to wife. He gave land to all his sons: Samuel; Joseph; Benjamin; James; John; Hezekiah; and Noah. He gave three pounds apiece to daughters Experience, Abigail, and Hannah. He gave six Pounds to his grandson Samuel Allen. To his daughters ELIZABETH and Patience he gave a cow. To his four youngest daughters, Mehitabel, Mary, Sarah, and Margaret, he gave five pounds apiece when they married. His books were divided among his children, one per, by choice with the remainder going to his wife. He added a provision that son James was to get house and lands given to his wife if she remarried provided he pay her five Pounds per year for life.

      Original proprietor of Rehoboth, Mass. in 1643.

      Exact date of arrival unknown but probably arrived with others fron Titchfield, Hampshire, England on the ship Brevis in May of 1638.

      Presented to court 6/6/1649 for shorting customers on corn he had milled for them; cleared by jury.
